Mark Stetler practiced real estate law, initially with a large law firm and then in-house, for ten years before being chosen by publicly traded housing company to help start a wholesale mortgage business. Four years later, he joined a small consulting business engaged in forensic financial analysis of residential mortgage loans. Mr. Stetler was instrumental in growing that business from one with two consultants to one having 180 employees in five offices, with a client list that included the largest mortgage insurance companies in the country. The forensic analysis business was sold in 2008 to a large risk assessment business serving property and casualty insurers and reinsurers and Mr. Stetler recently returned to the practice of law. He became Of Counsel to Russell & Wright in October 2011.
Mr. Stetler’s practice is focused on advising mortgage insurance companies on legal issues relating to underwriting and coverage issues.
